Abstract

The research is to explore Jean Piaget's cognitive thinking in Islamic Religious Education and Ethics subjects at SDIT Baiturrahman. The data used for this research came from books, journals, articles, and other scientific works. This research used a descriptive qualitative method explored through a literature review, namely an analysis of books and previous research. The findings of this study indicate that cognitive theory can be successfully applied at SDIT Baiturrahman in learning PAdBP. This success needs to be supported by teacher innovation in using and combining various strategies, methods, and learning media so that cognitive theory can be applied as expected, while still paying attention to the weaknesses of this theory so that they can be handled properly, allowing the teaching and learning process to run smoothly.
